2007 - After high school at the edge of eighteen, I moved to Florence
where I got my degree in Art, Music and Performing Art (DAMS) from the University of Literature and Philosophy. While in Florence I got interested in the art of video making and took my introductory camera operator course, where I learnt the basics. The adventure officially began when I took my first used videocamera and started to dabble with short films, video art and backstage filming. 2010 - Florence was a great city, small and intimate but I needed something more – I yearned for new experiences, and to challenge myself once again – and so I moved to London after graduation. London allowed me to discover parts of my personality that I had been unaware of, parts I didn't even know existed. It also taught me how to deal with novice situations; but at the same time, the hectic lifestyle left very little time for my real passion – videography. 2012 – After two years I decided to move back to Parma, my hometown. I worked as a secretary (at my dad's company) for a few years. Aside from allowing me to put some money aside, this (relatively boring) job experience led me to the very important realization—I wanted to be a full-time videographer. Following my new found motivation and determination, I quit my job and bought my first new videocamera. 2015 – Starting with the basics, I spent the first six months working on and organizing my portfolio. Now, I'm currently working as a freelance videographer and use my own equipment. I shoot, edit, and produce. My experience is quite broad – I like working on branded content, documentaries, and promotional films for upcoming artists and innovative brands by bringing their creations to life; filming events and parties so those very special moments can be saved forever; and last but not least experimenting with short films, and video art. |
